Apple has just won a patent for a device that could be worn as “as a wrist-watch device”. That said it seems the iWatch is now officially on its way.
The patent suggests that the device could be work in a multitude of ways; as a pendant device, headphone device, earpiece device.
The ambiguity stems from the fact that the concept design, rather than the finished product has won the patent. This allows for drastic changes in the device being valid under the patent, by the time the product comes to the market.
It is also suggested that the device could incorporate a camera as well as an antena and light sensor, as well as some curvature to the body of the device.
Connectivity for the device could range from cellular, WI-Fi, and GPS, whereas the screen may be OLED or LED. It is unknown whether there will be a touchscreen or not.
