Ant and Dec confirmed their reputation as the nicest guys on TV when they joined the judging panel on Britain’s Got Talent and were unable to bring themselves to buzz any of the acts.
The pair took it in turns to take over when Simon Cowell missed a show, but could not match his no-holds banded style.
Ant declined to press the buzzer when a 33-year-old performer from York presented his own rap to a Black Eyed Peas song.
Ant said to the judges, “This is horrible.” However, he did not buzz; bless him!
David Williams, fellow judge said, “Ant and Dec are such nice guys, I get why they are so hesitant to say no to anyone.”
Simon returned for the rest of the nights show and directly showed off his Mr Nasty reputation when he tried to split up mother and daughter act Kitty and Rosie.
The pair performed the much-covered Feeling Good and what Simon told them is that they might be better doing it alone.
This is what Simon said, “I’m going to say something that is not going to make me popular. I don’t want to say to you mum go, but I’m really tempted to say I’d like to see you as solo performers.”
The judges chose around 40 acts to go through to next week’s live semi-finals, and that is how the show ended.
