Latest Version of Google Play Store

An update to the Google Play Store is on its way! Some of the features it’s going to come with are definitely must-have. The Google Play Store helps at your entrance to Android applications, multi-media, books, news and much more. The new features that will be brought by the new version of the Google Play Store are plenty and include:

–          Require password option

–          Batch install

–          Force Play Store self-update

–          Settings and help moved to slide out navigation

–          In-app purchase warning

–          Numerous minor tweaks

–          Google +1 now accurate

Batch Install

This feature allows you to quickly install any of the apps from your All list on a new device related with your Google account. This is how:

–          Once you have a new Android device; link the new device with your Google account

–          Open the Google Play Store on the new device

–          Click the overflow menu; this is the three horizontal lines located in the top left corner

–          Click on My Apps

–          Click the All tab

–          Select all the apps to install by long-pressing the listing until it turns gray (refer to figure A)

–          Click Install

–          Click Accept

–          Let the installation complete

Require Password

With the latest version you can set up the Google Play Store to always ask for a password for in-app purchases. This is how:

–          Open the Google Play Store

–          Click the overflow menu

–          Click Settings

–          Scroll down to Require password for purchases

–          Select For all purchases through Google Play on this device (refer to figure B)

–          Enter your Google Play Store password

–          Click OK

As well as this, you will also see whether or not the app contains IAPs in the App permissions warning screen (refer to figure C). Like this, you get to choose not to install the app based on the new information.

Play Store self-update

In order to update the newer version of the Google Play Store, you need to: go to the Google Play Store | Settings and click Build version. This results in a pop-up appearing, which signifies that your version of Google Play Store is successfully up-to-date.
