The head of Google’s search spam, Matt Cutts has confirmed that Google has taken action on spam in Greece.
A comment was left on Twitter by someone who had noticed penalties to Greek websites. This is how Matt responded to the comment:
@realpoisom ah, you noticed the action in Greece?
Usually, after reading a comment like this, Matt comes right out and says what Google have done about it. However, that’s not what he did this time. The reason could be because of other priorities, such as the TED in Vancouver, which he has been busy with in the last few days.
It has been confirmed by Matt himself that something happened in Greece, but what we don’t know is the link network that Google targeted.
