The next release for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad operating system has been detailed by Apple as the giant. The iOS 8 is said to feature many improvements, even though the name of the game is more about modification that another complete overhaul.
The iOS 8 will have a similar appealing to the iOS 7, but many of its existing features will sport enhancements and changes.
The Notification Centre will also be improved and will have widgets in the notifications line and gesture controls on how notifications can be viewed o dismissed. With a double tap, contact will appear in the menu and the mail application will have more options to work on emails.
One major visible change will be the new Apple on the screen keyboard. The quick-type keyboard will learn your speech patterns as you type and will fill in the blanks. This makes text messaging and writing a quicker process. Furthermore, third-party keyboards, such as Swift Key will be available to choose instead.
Further changes include video messaging in iMessage, family sharing – so all members of a family can use the same iTunes with different profiles, and the App Store is also improved and will help users find apps more easily.
The full release is in the autumn; however, the iOS 8 is available in beta form for developers now.
