T20 India Beats Indies by Seven Wickets

Looks like India have done it again as they thrashed West Indies by seven wickets. The game was led by fifties from Virat Kohli, (54) and Rohit Sharma, (62).

The second Group Two game gave India another victory of the ICC World T20 tournament in Bangladesh.

Amit Mishra’s 2-18 fetched him his second Man of the Match award in successive games.

The Indian team gave a successful appearance, after skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni chose to take the first bowl.

India lost opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan early to leggie Samuel Badree in the very first over, but Rohit and Kohli stole the match from Indies with their smashing 106-run stand for the second wicket.

Kohli certainly impressed with his bowling as he went after the West Indies. His 41-ball knock was studded with four fours and a six.

Kohli was played down by a delivery from Andre Russell.

Yuvraj Singh (10) took 19 deliveries before being caught at the slips by Chris Gayle off Marlon Samuels, but Rohit and Suresh Raina took the team home safely, and without any further loss. Five fours and two sixes were hit by Rohit in his 55-ball innings.

Mishra picked up his second Man of the Match award and was most stingy from all. As he gave away just 18 runs in his four overs.

West Indies batsmen made a slow start and scored only five runs from the first three overs and could not recover from it.
