All lovers of the Fifa 14 game who have impatiently been waiting, will be delighted to hear that EA Sports have announced that Fifa 15 will be releasing on the 26th September in the UK.
The global cover star named by the makers of the football game is Lionel Messi, who is the Argentina and Barcelona player.
Fifa 15 will be releasing on the 23rd September in North America, and the 25th September in Europe.
This is going to be Messi’s fourth appearance on a Fifa cover, after already being featured on Fifa Street, Fifa 13, and Fifa 14.
The 27-year-old player holds the record for scoring the most goals in a yea – 91.
Messi is also the only player to have received the Fifa Ballon d’Or four times.
Messi’s team, Argentina, lost 1-0 to Germany in the 2014 World Cup Final in Brazil. He led Argentina to the World Cup Final, where they were beaten by Germany. During the tournament in Brazil, Messi scored four times and received the Golden Ball Award for the best player of the tournament.
As well as earlier Fifa releases, regional covers will also feature local talent alongside Messi.
These covers are said to be revealed in the coming weeks, by EA Sports.
Additional and advanced features on this year’s edition include, new tactic options such as park the bus and time wasting, and players having memories to ‘show emotion based on the context of the match’.
