Ukraine’s actinf president Oleksandr Turchynov has sanctioned a resumption of military operations against pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine. This action has come in to play after the claims that two supporters of his party were found “tortured to death”. These actions now ring another blow to the th international peace plan, now looking ever more likely to unravel.
The peace agreement set in Geneva last Thursday had resulted in Turchynov suspending military “counter-terrorist” operations in the region. The recent acts have resulted in the military operations restart.
The terrorists who effectively took the whole Donetsk region hostage have now gone too far, by starting to torture and murder Ukrainian patriots. These crimes are being committed with the full support and connivance of the Russian Federation,
Turchynov said, only hours after a joint appearance with the US vice-president, Joe Biden.
The Ukraine’s defence ministry has also reported it has lost one its observation planes to gunfire from Slavyansk, which has become one of the most tension filled areas in the eastern region of the country. Though it has been added that there were no injuries in the plane.
