Google Update Makes Android Keyboard Much Smarter

Google has just pushed out an update in the Google Play Store, which updates the default Android keyboard.

The cool thing about this is that it will use Google’s intelligence to make better spelling suggestions.

As soon as the update is installed, it won’t just be correcting spelling, oh no! It will also make suggestions based on an internal dictionary and pick what words you were most likely going for based upon analysing all the data you have put into Google’s services. Everything from search, Google Drive and Gmail will be taken into consideration.

The idea behind this is that it will make typing quicker. If Google automatically knows what you are going to say, then that’s less complaining about the small screen and the accuracy marker.

Also, there will be no privacy concerns raised. The Swiftkey Company have offered a nearly identical product for a number of years now. Their keyboards dig into your emails and social media, to get a handle of what you like to write about. With the Google services, this latest update could possibly end up sinking them.
