48 Bodies found in a Single Room by South Korean Divers

The Sewol, a sunken South Korean ferry, has been recovered. Yet the news brings great sadness with it as divers have found 48 bodies inside a single dorm room, only meant to accommodate 38 people.

 A South Korean Navy officer said, the bodies found were all cramped together and wearing life jackets.

A approximate 183 bodies have been recovered from the Sewol, yet many more are still missing, presumed drowned. No estimate has been placed on how long the search mission will take place as the head of operation is currently at a loss.

Out of the 476 people aboard the Sewol, only 174 have been rescued. Many were trapped inside the ferry and are reported to have sunk with the ferry two hours after it reported a distress signal. Many of the presumed dead were faculty and students of the Danwon high school, south of Seoul.

As the search goes on many angered relatives attacked fisheries minister and the coastguard chief about the speed of the recovery operations.
