An incredible century by Alex Hales saved England after they had dropped several catches in the field. The team kept alive their effort to reach the World Twenty20 semi-finals with a six-wicket win over Sri Lanka.
Hales extraordinarily lashed six sixes in an amazing unbeaten 64-ball 116 in Bangladesh, the final one way over mid-wicket in the last over by Angelo Mathews, who gave his side victory with four balls to spare after setting a huge target of 190 in the Group One Super 10 clash.
When it came to batting, at Chittagong’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdury Stadium Kusal Perera, from Sri Lanka was out in the second over, but Tillakaratne Dilshan (55) and Mahela Jayawardene (89) cashed in some terrible fielding to direct their team to 189 for four.

Stuart broad was sided back in the match with some vicious hitting.
However, very soon things got better for England and gave them a stunning with by just six wickets.
This is what Hales said on Sky Sports 2, “I’m absolutely buzzing with that. Centuries in this format don’t come along very often and I’ve got out a couple of times in the 90s so I was pleased to get over the line today.”
