Roumor has it that Danny Boyle and Leonardo DiCaprio may yet again reunite for a movie about Steve Jobs. Originally The Social Network director, David Fincher was linked with the project
It is reported that Sony Pictures is currently in talks with Boyle regarding the direction of the new film, in which Boyle wants DiCaprio to be the star. The pair’s last movie together being the Beach in 2000. The movie is based on Walter Isaacson’s best selling biography, while The Social Network writer, Aaron Sorkin has written the biopic.
Di Caprio is well known for playing the lead in a number of biopics, from the eccentric film director Howard Hughes to the first FBI director, J Edgar Hoover.
This will be the second movie about the late Apple co-founder, who died of pancreatic cancer at the age 56 in 2011. The first movie about Steve Jobs being ” Jobs” in which Ashton Kutcher, of Two and a Half Men fame, played the lead role in 2013.
Boyle has recently been praised for his presiding role over the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony held in London. He is next set to make Porno, the sequel to the movie Trainspotting, a cult classic. DiCaprio, after his success in Wolf of Wall Street, is planning to star in The Revenant.
