David and Victoria’s Beckham mansion in estate in Hertfordshire palace, which is called Beckingham palace has been sold for a reported £11.3 million to one of the UK’s most successful tycoons.
The mansion in Sawbridgeworth has many memories for the Beckham’s as that is where three of their children were raised and brought up. The home is also famous for the Pre-World Cup party, which the couple threw in 2006.
The palace consists of an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a helistop, maze and a woodland chapel as well as nods to the former owners’ careers with a recording studio and football pitch.
Neil Utley, 52, insurance entrepreneur and his wife Narmali, 46 agreed a cash deal for the seven bedroom home and surrounding 17-acre estate.
The Beckham’s bought the former council-owned children’s home for £2.5 million after their wedding in 1999 and it took a total of four years to find buyers.
The Beckham’s demanded that the Utley’s maintain the 1930s Georgian style house as a family home and not cash in on their celebrity by working with private developers.
The Beckham’s have moved to four-storey town house in Kensington, west London, which is valued at £45 million.
