Google Takes Action on Sites Benefiting From Guest Post Networks

Google’s Matts Cutts has announced that they have penalized a large guest blog post, but which one it is, has not been mentioned. The search community believes it is MyBlogGuest.com that has got hit and the owner of the site; who is a respected member of the SEO industry, has confirmed they indeed get a manual action in Webmaster Tools and was penalized.

Ann does not believe that the publishers who took part in the network would get hit as well. This is what she tweeted:

In response to that tweet, Matt Cutts wrote a reply, but didn’t include ‘@ Ann’. This is what he tweeted:

@n2tech when we take action on a spammy link network, it can include blogs hosting guest posts, sites benefiting from the links, etc.
